Lynn Cawthra
Deacon Lynn Cawthra has announced her retirement, effective April 27, 2025, after many years of faithful service. As one of our diocese's longest-serving deacons, Deacon Lynn’s dedication has deeply impacted both the diocese and the parish of St. Mark’s, Qualicum Beach. She will be greatly missed by her colleagues and the congregation. While retiring from her role, Lynn plans to remain in the area, and we look forward to welcoming her back to St. Mark’s as a member of the congregation this fall. Please join us in offering our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Deacon Lynn. Photo Credit: J.Abram Photography

The First Annual Bishop's Dinner
The first annual Bishop's Dinner took place on February 5th, 2025 at the Inn at Laurel Point. The purpose of the dinner was to build relationships across the diocese, delve into Bishop Anna's vision for a bright future, and explore the life-giving ministry thriving within the Islands and Inlets. Bishop Anna's talk was about Trust inspired by the book and podcast by Rachel Botsman. Our speakers from our ministries in the North, The Rev. Sheila Cook and Robert Fyles, shared thought provoking stories from their work in our churches in Port Hardy, Port McNeil and ‘Yalis (Alert Bay). |

Lay Worship Leader Workshop
Friday, May 9 Over the past few years, over 50 lay people have trained to lead worship in their parishes and have been taking an essential part in leading worship throughout the diocese. This year we are offering a workshop day to offer an opportunity for these leaders to get together, continue learning about leading worship, and ask questions that have developed over their experience. The workshop will be led by Dent Davidson, who serves as Chaplain to the House of Bishops in The Episcopal Church and whose lifelong vocation as a lay worship leader began as a chorister at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria. Please click here for registration link. Information on hotel reservations for the night prior will be shared soon. For more infomation visit:
