Lenten Series Week Five. Nominations for the Office of Primate. Order of the Diocese of BC.

Anglican Diocese of British Columbia
Comings and Goings for April 9, 2025
A Lenten Series: Week 5

A Lenten Series: Week 5

Staying Grounded in Times of Chaos

Lent is the season of 40 days leading up to Easter. This season is a time of intentional reflection when we make space in our lives for God to change our hearts in preparation for the new life that awaits us in the resurrection.

Click the link below to watch the fifth video in our lenten series, Staying Grounded in Times of Chaos. A new video will be released every Wednesday between now and Holy Week. In this series, voices from across our diocese will share practices from our tradition that help us live out our faith when the world feels crazy.

In this video, Rebecca Yeo (Spiritual Care Provider/Chaplain at the University of Victoria) talks about Compline, or night prayer, as a daily practice of "saying goodnight to God." Rebecca's favourite resources for praying Compline are Mission St. Clare, Night Prayer from the Church of England, and the Supplementary to the BAS.
