Primates of the Americas meet in Brazil'A Place at the Table' From 10–12 August, Primates and Provincial Secretaries from across the Americas met in the diocese of São Paulo, in the Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil (IEAB), for a time of prayer, conversation and shared discernment across the Provinces. Following on from the meeting, several of the Primates and Provincial Secretaries will participate in a broader regional gathering organised by the Anglican Alliance to explore a listening process for reimagining power called A Place At the Table. Synod Office Open HouseThursday, September 10, 2026 Join us for an afternoon of conversation and light refreshments at the Synod office. Come reconnect as we head into the fall season, and meet some of the newer staff that have joined the team over the last few months. The Synod office is located at 900 Vancouver St, Victoria BC. The Truth about CowichanWednesday, September 30, 2026 All are invited to join Bishop Anna at St. Peter's, Quamichan on September 30, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, for an overview of the Colonial history of the Cowichan Valley. The presentation and discussion will take place in the parish hall from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. St. Peters Quamichan is located just outside of Duncan at 5800 Church Road. 50 Years of the Priesting of Women
Registration for the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Priesting of Women in the Anglican Church of Canada is now open. The event is being hosted by our diocese at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria on November 24-25, 2026. Come and join us as we give thanks for the many ways women have contributed to the life of the church as presbyters and look to the future to examine the challenges that lie ahead for women in the church and Canadian society. Synod 2026Pathway to Synod Over the next three months, we will be sharing important information regarding the 103rd Synod, which will be held in Victoria on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st, 2026. Please see below for important dates. More information about each of these meetings & deadlines will be shared in the coming weeks. Upcoming Deadlines: September 15th: Deadline for nominations to Diocesan Council; deadline for motions October 15th: Deadline for nominations to treasurer, clerical secretary, lay secretary, diocesan court, general synod, and provincial synod.
