Lisa is an Anglican who has moved to our diocese from the Diocese of New Westminster. She brings with her a wealth of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and communication. Bishop Anna has invited Lisa to serve as a canon helping us as a diocese live into our Respectful Conduct Policy. She has graciously accepted this invitation and will be serving entirely on a volunteer basis.
Please be in touch with Lisa anytime you or your congregation needs support with conflict resolution, inappropriate conduct, bullying or harassment. Contacting Lisa does not constitute filing a formal complaint, but rather asking for help in navigating the options for resolution and safety. Lisa is happy to serve as a resource, helping you explore what options are available to you and might be most appropriate.
Lisa is an experienced dispute resolution professional who recently retired as a lawyer and who still works as a mediator, family law supervisor, and conflict resolution educator. In addition to her legal and mediation practice, Lisa worked actively as a trainer in the areas of collaborative practice, mediation, family violence screening training, and communication and negotiation skills. Lisa has provided training for professionals all over the world. She is currently a Director for the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals co-leading the Education and Training Committee and is also working towards accreditation as a family law supervisor.
She loves her nephews, traveling, Iona, reading, sunshine, and Parachute ice cream. She worships at St Philip Church in Victoria, BC.
