The rezoning application has been submitted to the City of Victoria. The anticipated timeline for approval is 18-24 months.
St. Peter, Lakehill
Conceptual design complete (CMHC funded), discerning funding options. A BC Housing application has been submitted to the Community Housing Fund for affordable housing.
St. Dunstan’s, Gordon Head
An RFP (Request for Proposals) has been posted HERE for offers to purchase the South West portion (the meadow) of the site. The congregation will remain active and a development for the remainder of the site is being considered for a later phase.
St. John the Baptist, Duncan
Collaboration with Duncan Housing Society and BC Housing to build affordable rental housing for seniors and those living with disabilities. Preparing rezoning application to City of Duncan.
St. John the Divine, Victoria
Collaboration with Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness and BC Housing to build a 32-unit Wellness House with cultural and wrap-around medical support. Negotiations in progress for sale of portion of parking lot to BC Housing for use in this project.
St. Matthias, Victoria
On September 21, 2023, Diocesan Council authorized signing a Memorandum of Understanding with a developer to negotiate the potential sale of a portion of the St. Matthias property. On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Bishop Anna announced that no satisfactory agreement had been reached and the Diocese was going to wait at least a year before revisiting the possibility of a sale.
