Information Request Form
The completion of a signed Information Request Form is required for the release of records of baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials, and/or other documents containing personal information. In order for us to comply with church policy and BC privacy laws; the form is designed to establish the requestors right to the personal information contained in the record.
The diocesan archivists have established, in consultation with the archivist of the ecclesiastical province, a schedule of fees. This document will usually accompany the Information Request Form.
Parish Records Retention Schedule
The Parish Records Retention Schedule serves two purposes. It is meant to identify records of legal value that must be forwarded for deposit in the diocesan archives. The schedule is also meant to aid parish administration and officers to determine when a record is no longer of use. Building plans and cemetery records are always of use.
