One of the directions of our diocesan vision is Lay Ministry & Leadership Formation. Under this direction we celebrate and lift up the ministry of all the baptized; where all are engaged in the mission of the church. We strive to equip and enable both lay and ordained leaaders, so they may exercise their gifts for the benefit of all.
This area of our shared work is primarily lived out at the parish level, but through our synod, we are continually seeking ways to support the disciples throughout our church.
Visit this section of our website regulary. We are always developing new and highlighting exisiting initiatives being carried out across the diocese, and will share those developments here.
In 2017, the Diocesan Vision Implementation Team for Lay Ministry and Leadership Formation conducted a diocesan-wide survey. The purpose of the survey was to assess the ministries currently taking place in parishes and to provide suggested direction and/or programs going forward.
This executive summary was presented to Diocesan Council at its November 2017 meeting and will be used to inform decisions regarding this vision direction going forward. Copies of the full survey results can be obtained from the synod office.
