New Incumbent of St. Peter, ComoxWelcome Rev. Francis Delaplain Bishop Anna has appointed the Rev. Francis Delaplain as incumbent of St. Peter, Comox, effective July 1, 2026. Francis will move to Comox from Hay River in the Northwest Territories. He has served as Rector of St. Andrew's in Hay River since 2016, where he has led multiple outreach initiatives, including weekly food programs and support during fire and flood evacuations. He has also connected with young people in the community, growing the youth group to about 30 regular attenders. He is also a regular contributor to CBC's program The Weekender, based in Yellowknife. Helen Lingham appointed Archdeacon to Deacons
Helen Lingham has been appointed Archdeacon to Deacons, effective May 1, 2026. She will take over as Director of Deacons and assume the title of Archdeacon. She will convene the regular meetings of the chapter of deacons, join the monthly online diocesan archdeacon meetings and work with Bishop Anna to support the work of the diaconate in this diocese. Please join us in congratulating Helen on this appointment and mark your calendars for Monday, June 15 at 7 PM for an evensong service at St Paul, Nanaimo, when Helen will be formally collated as Archdeacon. |

Ecumenical Webinar GatheringsRegister Now - Thursday, February 26, 2026 The second of two gatherings hosted by LAM (Lutheran, Anglican, Moravian) ecumenical working group will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2-4 PM (EST). The webinar will explore the topic "How Does it Work? Networking with Ecumenical Shared Ministry Leaders." Ecumenical Shared Ministry (ESM) is growing in Canada as more communities explore creative faithful ways for different denominations to be church together.
