The Anglican Diocese of Islands and Inlets is seeking an Archivist, located near Fairfield in downtown Victoria. This position is part-time at 14 hours per week. Hours are on weekdays during business hours - the candidate has flexibility in choosing their own schedule as long as it is consistent weekly. Pay range is $30 to $35 per hour. The start date is as soon as possible.
The function of the archivist is to manage the archival collection of the records of the diocese; to create and maintain policies and procedures relating to the acquisition, appraisal, description, preservation, arrangement and access to diocesan records. The Archivist is also responsible for facilitating access to records by researchers and visitors, managing volunteers, ensuring archival records are well-kept at the parish level, and creating an annual work plan, budget, and report on statistics of record loans, search requests and accessions.

It would be beneficial for the candidate to have knowledge of the Anglican Church of Canada's structure and culture. Candidates must be able to provide a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector search, complete Safe Church training (provided), and abide by the diocesan policies.
