Prayer is the most intimate conversation that we will have in our lives. Prayer is what keeps us connected to the divine and, with grace, it is what helps us move past obstacles and to grow. Sometimes we need help with our prayer life.
Palanca is a Spanish word meaning "lever" and in Cursillo it refers to a team of prayer "warriors" (people who understand their vocation to be that of holding daily the prayers of the people), who are willing to help.
Palanca is an offering of prayer to God in the name of a special person, as they attend a special weekend to draw closer to Christ - a gift of encourgement. A small hand written note will tell the candidate or team member what you are planning to do for them.
