Are you...

  • An experienced and/or aspiring lay leader in your parish?
  • Interested in adding new skills to your “toolkit”?
  • Seeking new ways to animate our diocesan vision in practical ways in your church and community?

The Community of Learning is a new educational approach to lay ministry leadership formation, offered in several modules. Led by experts within the diocesan family, the program is designed to equip lay leaders to be ministers of reconciliation within and beyond the church.

Module 1 – Conflict: Language and Resolution

You will learn:

  • Peaceful change through dialogue
  • Non-violent language and communication
  • Conflict as an opportunity for spiritual growth
  • Techniques for identifying and dealing with difficult issues

You will learn and practice how to identify conflict from the language used, how to bring issues to the surface and clarify what is really going on. You will go from the session with tools and techniques to confront and resolve issues that, if left unaddressed, cause stress and anxiety to you and others and hamper growth in your church and your life.

* Please bring a bag lunch
