Congratulations to the Rev Jonathan Thomas, who was installed as Rector of Christ Church Cathedral and Dean of the Diocese of Islands and Inlets on September 29, 2024. 

Jonathan joined the diocese on September 1, having moved to the island from the Diocese of Chicago, where he and his wife, Jenny, served as co-rectors of St. Paul’s, Peoria.

Jenny works for the Synod office as Canon for lay-led parishes and parishes-in-transition, and will be installed during the opening worship service for Synod 2024, on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Diocesan Synod 2024 will open with an All Saints Day Service at Christ Church Cathedral on November 1 at 7pm. A reception will follow. All are welcome.
