Clergy Announcement: Christ Church Cathedral

The Rev. Jacqueline Stober’s two-year appointment as Senior Associate at Christ Church Cathedral will conclude at the end of August. We are deeply grateful for the love, dedication, and wisdom Jacqueline has shared with the Cathedral, the Diocese, and the broader community during her time with us. Her warmth and pastoral presence have been a true gift.

A celebration of her ministry will take place at the Cathedral in late August—details to come.

During May, we have been busy working on updating the diocesan website to make it easier for Synod staff, congregations, clergy, and visitors to find the up-to-date information they need. Deconsecration Announcement

A Service and Lunch - Saturday, June 7, 2025

On Saturday, June 7, Bishop Anna will lead a service celebrating the decades of vibrant ministry at St. Dunstan’s and deconsecrate the space for its use for other purposes. The service will take place at St. Dunstan’s at 11am. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The color for the day is white.

The deadline to register for the lunch has passed but we encourage all members of the diocese to attend the service.

Ordination to the Sacred Order of Priesthood

Rebecca Yeo and Mona Smart - Sunday, June 8, 2025

On June 8, 2025 Bishop Anna intends to ordain Rebecca Yeo and Mona Smart to the sacred order of priesthood. The service will take place at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria at 4pm. All are welcome! A reception will follow the service.

If you are a member of the clergy and would like to vest for the service, please register by CLICKING HERE. The liturgical color for this ordination is red.

Pride Parade

March With Us - Sunday, July 6, 2025

The 2025 Victoria Pride parade will take place on Sunday, July 6. This year Synod staff will be walking in the parade and we encourage parishes to march with us. If you would like to join us, please fill out the registration form by CLICKING HERE.

In June, the Victoria Pride Society will send more information about where the meet up point is, a map of the parade route etc., to everyone who registers.
