National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is nearly upon us. As a diocese we have a responsibility to repent and mourn our role in and benefit from the dispossession of land, lifeways and culture. On this day we remember the Survivors and generational Survivors of the residential schools on these islands and inlets. We hope you can participate in the events that are happening locally in your community, and join these local nations in remembering and in celebrating the resistance and revitalization that is taking place. Celebration of Life for Herbert O'DriscollSaturday, October 5, 2024 A celebration of life for Herbert O'Driscoll will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, Victoria at 2pm on Saturday, October 5. The service will be livestreamed on the cathedral website for those who cannot attend in person. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the BC Cancer Foundation (directed to melanoma research) or Sorrento Centre.
