The Bishop’s Fund for Ordinands helps to defray many costs related to selecting and ordaining new clergy. These include the professional psychological assessment of candidates, their attendance at a provincial conference (ACPO) to assesses vocation, the provision of a pre-ordination retreat and costs associated with the ordination itself, such as honoraria, the bible presented to the newly ordained and a celebratory reception.
