The Rev. Brock Lupton
Brock Lupton, a retired Anglican priest who served as a choir director at St Peter's, Campbell River, and as an honourary priest at St John the Divine, Courtenay, has passed away. Born on January 24, 1948, in Kelowna, BC, Brock earned a Bachelor of Music degree from UBC in 1970 and later a Master of Divinity from the Vancouver School of Theology in 1980. He was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1980 and served in various parishes, including the Diocese of Yukon, the Shuswap Lake area and Oliver, BC. In 1994, Brock returned to university to become a music teacher, a role he fulfilled until retirement. In retirement, he continued teaching and served on the board of directors of the Comox Valley Youth Music Centre. Brock is survived by his four children: Rebecca, Hannah, Jessica and Matthew. His celebration of life will take place at St John the Divine, Courtenay on Saturday, November 23 at 1pm. There will be a light tea reception to follow.
