New Resources Now Available To Help Us GO GREEN
We are excited to share with you some great new resources available to help your parish get started or continue it's work in being a greener church and helping to heal the environment. We hope you will talk about the resources listed in this newsletter with your parish council and build some excitement in your parish about "Going Green." As part of our "Going Green" initiative parishes will receive a "We're Going Green" sign (design shown at the top of this email) to be posted in a prominent location to alert parishioners and visitors that the parish is actively seeking ways to reduce its environmental impact. Be sure to share with us the stories of what you're up to along the way so we can share those stories with others. |

At Synod 2018 we committed to eliminating single-use plastics in our churches. To assist in these efforts the diocesan Vision Implementation Team for Engaging God's World has recently produced a new resource guide to help parishes get started in reducing their ecological footprint by phasing out the use of disposable plastics by 2023. This guide is currently available for download on our new "Green Church" section of the diocesan website here. A limited number of guides will also be distributed to parishes in the coming weeks.
