Are you a student at one of the local campuses?

Drop by St George the Martyr in Cadbora Bay, Victoria every Sunday at 5pm from September to April for a free homemade meal. Each week we spend time making music, having discussions, playing games and just hanging out.

Location: St Dunstan, Gordon Head

Register for 1, 2 or all 3, (preferably all 3), but plan to stay for the entire day. Can’t make all 3 days? Missed sessions can be made up. Accreditation is earned over three core training days: January 25.2020, February 29.2020, April 4.2020

Led by a team of lay people and spiritual advisors (clergy). New participants (candidates) are exposed to the Cursillo approach through a series of fifteen talks (Rollos), five meditations, daily Eucharist and other worship, music and fellowship. The fifteen talks cover the basics of Christianity and concentrate on the concepts of piety, study, and action. Away from the everyday pressures of their lives, participants form a Christian community by learning, praying, singing, and living together. This presentation event is in support of a 14-day pilgrimage journey of students involved in the UVic Interfaith Chapel. The trip is led by Anglican chaplain, Ruth Dantzer. Doors open at 6:30pm with presentations beginning at 7pm.

Mark your calendar. Time and location will be announced in January 2020. Judy Robinson, director of pensions for the Anglican Church of Canada will be in Victoria to host a "check-in" on the pension plan. This short workshop will be followed by lunch. Judy will also be available for individual appointments.
