Diocese Publishes First Narrative Budget
At the Spring regional gatherings held across the diocese, Gail Gauthier, finance officer for the diocese, presented a 2018 narrative budget, which tells the story behind the annual numerical budget. The narrative budget is set out with the diocesan vision as the framework. Copies of the narrative budget have been sent to all parishes for distribution to parish council members. Limited additional copies are available from the synod office (900 Vancouver St, Victoria) or can be dowloaded in a printer-friendly format here. Free Companion Program Brings Young Women to Live with Sisters
Since the 6th century, St. Benedict’s Rule has guided individuals and communities to live prayerful lives of loving service. Today many Christians are seeking fresh ways to express ancient truths. The Sisters of St. John the Divine, an Anglican order based in Toronto, is planting new seeds of community life and mission, renewing the monastic life both in the church and for the church.
