Charisms is a monthly series of educational opportunities for leaders (both ordained and lay) across the diocese who are seeking to develop and expand their capacity to serve in their roles in a time of liminality, change, and adaptation. With hour-long sessions on Zoom, participants will be presented with informative and reflective material on the craft of leadership, and have the opportunity to connect with colleagues in a learning community to deepen and apply their learning through group discussions.

On Tuesday, February 13th at noon, the Revd. Juli Mallett, Congregational Development Coordinator, will present on "Presence at the Edge," drawing from lessons and experiences in psychotherapeutic practice to explore how we remain present and attentive in situations which challenge or disturb us. Too often, we imagine that good leaders are able to be effortlessly present in even the most challenging circumstances, but many of us struggle with conflict, and all of us have our limits. Join us for a reflective exploration of the kinds of situations that can challenge us, and tools that we can use to shift our perspective, and pay attention to what really matters in difficult times.

Registration is required to receive Zoom links for Charisms sessions, but attendance at all sessions is not required. For any questions, or if there is a topic you'd like to see explored (or present on, yourself!) contact Juli Mallett, Congregational Development Coordinator, at jmallett@bc.anglican.ca.
